Bodyguard was a once in a lifetime stallion. The legacy he leaves behind in his offspring, their offspring and so forth is undeniable. He has been undoubtedly one of the most influential Weser-Ems stallions standing in North America since being imported over 20 years ago. Time and time again his name appears in Pedigree after pedigree of some of the best ponies around. Bodyguards son Burberry made history in 2009 as the very first U.S. bred Weser-Ems pony to be licensed as a breeding stallion. From Bodyguards successful sons standing at stud to his daughters and granddaughters in the broodmare barns and all the others out competing successfully in some of the countries top venues Bodyguard leaves behind his strongly stamped progeny all over Canada and the USA. After a long and successful breeding career I am proud to say that 100% of his inspected foals were awarded premium scores with many site champions and foals of distinction as well. This feat alone speaks volumes as to his ability as a sire. He was a pony who was larger than life and brought a smile to faces everywhere he went. we will be forever grateful to have had the privilege of him spending his final golden years with us at Storybook Ponies. We will be watching Bodyguard live on in his progeny and their successes for many years to come.
